ESHCRU Previous Programmes pre-2019
ESHCRU, or the NIHR Policy Research Unit in the Economics of Social and Health Care, was funded from 2010 to 2018. The Unit was a collaboration between the Centre for Health Economics (CHE) at the University of York and the Personal Social Services Research Unit (PSSRU) at the London School of Economics and the University of Kent. A leaflet summarising ESHCRU’s work is available here. You can see an overview of ESHCRU I’s achievements in this poster.
The work programme was organised under 3 workstreams (select from the 3 options above) plus a responsive workstream.
ESHCRU’s research
- addressed policy and research issues of enduring importance regardless of changes in the organisational and political context.
- built on rigorous theoretical frameworks.
- featured strong empirical work, employing econometric techniques and exploited our extensive knowledge of linked administrative and socio-economic datasets.
